Situated just 100 meters from the Kitanomine lifts, the convenience offered by Pension is undeniable. It’s perfect for avid snowboarders and skiers wanting quick access to the slopes. The space is basic, quintessentially Japanese, and devoid of extravagant amenities, yet it meets essential needs. Shared bathroom facilities were consistently clean, and the Onsen served as a satisfying way to unwind after a day on the slopes. While the lack of breakfast and minimal inclusions may deter some, the two fridges and a microwave allowed for easy meal preparation, ensuring that guests can enjoy home-cooked food on a budget. The family hosting us was warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the stay. In summary, if you’re looking for basic accommodation with excellent access to skiing and local dining options in Kitanomine, Pension strikes a commendable balance of affordability and convenience. Just remember to bring your own towel!
